ARLEY TERRY

Arley TERRY 75, of Mt. Vernon died 7:48 p.m. Aug. 12, 1998, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

He was a retired truck driver and was employed at Baldridge Concrete for many years.

Mr. TERRY was born January 26, 1923, in Naylor, Ripley, Missouri, a son of Jim and Nora (ADAMS) TERRY. September 7, 1947, in Piggott, Clay, Arkansas, he married Gladys Marie SELLERS, who survives.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Steven EDWARDS officiating. Per request of Mr. TERRY, no public visitation will be held and those attending the graveside services are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Saturday morning.

Mr. Terry is survived by his wife, Gladys Marie TERRY of Mt. Vernon; one son, Danny G. TERRY of Carbondale; two daughters, Norma CRENSHAW and husband Ronnie of Channahon and Carolyn TATE and husband of Mt. Vernon; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd TERRY and wife Helen of Clarksville, Arkansas, Harvey TERRY of Aurora, Missouri, and Arvel TERRY and wife Rita of Naylor, Missouri; two sisters, Sarah IVY of Gallion, Ohio and Captolia PENNINGTON and husband Lloyd of Valley Center, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews including, Jim TERRY, Mike TERRY, Winford SELLERS and Sandy JOHNSON, all who were raised in the TERRY home.

Mr. TERRY was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Lee TERRY; two sisters; and two brothers.

He was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

For those who wish memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Heart Fund and will be accepted by the Hughey Funeral Home.
