Sheila Ruth Payne, 62, Richmond MO, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

Sheila was born September 15, 1946 in Phoenix AZ to parents Julius Donald and Margaret Lenora (Tollison) Womack. Sheila married Donald L. Payne, Jr. in Sheridan AR. Sheila and Don faithfully served the Lord at their church, Richmond Assembly of God and Victory Community Chapel. She worked at Ray County Memorial Hospital for eight years in housekeeping. She loved her friends and coworkers, but they were closer to family as far as she was concerned.

Sheila is survived by daughters Ruth Ann Larsen and husband Gorden, Louann AR; Eugenea "Gina" Miller and her companion "Tiger", Grapevine AR; stepsons Donald Payne, III and wife Nita, Lawson MO; Robert K. Payne and companion Sandy, Lawson; Gary Norris and wife Karen, Wood Heights MO; stepdaughters Sheila R. Seek and husband Steve, Richmond; Ruth J. Ballew and husband David, Richmond; Linda Smith and husband John, Climax Springs MO; sisters Pat Peterson and husband Ed, Phoenix AZ; Barbara Dunford, Winter Springs FL; grandsons P.J. Abeyta, Jr.; Duston Abeyta; Cody Abeyta; Christopher Larsen; Josh Larsen; granddaughter Tiffany Miller; great grandsons Keeton and Christian Abeyta; and several step grandchildren, step nieces and nephews.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Donald; her parents; and her granddaughter Nikki Miller.

Funeral services for Sheila will be at 1:00p.m. Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Polley Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Richmond Memory Gardens. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Richmond Assembly of God or the American Cancer Society.
