Graveside services were held Dec. 6, at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery. Pastor Glen Bartnik of Powell Butte Christian Church officiated.
Mrs. Williams was born in Lone Pine, Ore. on Aug. 16, 1919, to Sherrid and Anna (Terrell) Bozarth. Florence married Earl Williams on Sept. 28, 1935, in Redmond.
In the early 1930s the family moved east of Bend and lived in the Horse Ridge area until moving to Culver in 1955, raising cattle, hay, and potatoes. She worked as a cook for a truck stop in Redmond and then worked as a dietary cook at the Redmond hospital and then she worked as the first cook at the Madras hospital, retiring in 1984. The biggest part of her life was her marriage to Earl.
She loved to travel Central Oregon and look at local sites. She loved to play cards especially canasta, and enjoyed Our Day Out (ODO) Club getting together and playing cards and cheat.
She was well known as a cook, enjoyed socializing with family and friends, telling stories about Central Oregon history, gardening, raising flowers and vegetables. She was known as an extremely hard worker. She was baptized in the Crooked River at Lone Pine, Ore.
Survivors include her daughters, Elvina and her husband Harold Kentner, of Prineville, Kaye and her husband Thayne Corwin of Culver; and her son Tom and his wife Marge Williams of Helena, Mont.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association. Arrangements are in the care of the Prineville Funeral Home.
