Golda Fay (Kidd) Brewer, age 83 of Owosso., passed away Sunday, May 10th, 2009 at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Mowen Funeral Home-William A. Scarlett Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Beverly Adcock officiating. Interment will follow at Middlebury Township Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and on Thursday from 1 PM until service.
Golda was born in Shiawassee County on February 2, 1926, the daughter of the late Frank R. and Anna (Boucher) Hanes. She married Roy Kidd (father of all the children) in 1946. Mr. Kidd died in 1971. Golda married Leo Nichols in 1972 and he died in 1983. She later married Dallas Brewer in 1984 and Mr. Brewer died in 1992. Golda worked for many years at Memorial Healthcare Center as a nurse's tech. She was a member of the Eastern Stars, holding many offices, including Worthy Matron. Golda enjoyed sewing, traveling and working crossword puzzles.
Golda is survived by four children, daughters, Anna Lashbrook and Ida Destine; sons, Frank Kidd and John Kidd; 8 grandchildren, Mike , Lisa, Tanya, Frank Jr., Michelle, Roy, John Jr., and Meredith; 7 great grandchildren, Jason , Lizzy, Jessica, Morgan , Mason, Somer and Kristen.
