Linda C. Moyer, 59, of Strasburg died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at the Essa Flory Hospice Center. She was the wife of Alan E. Moyer for 37 years. Born in Hanover, she was the daughter of late John W. II and Bertha B. Shipley Kauffman, and the stepdaughter of the late Naomi Kauffman.
Linda earned her Teaching Degree from Susquehanna University in 1971, and her Masters Degree and Reading Specialist Certificate from Millersville University. A reading and English teacher in the Pequea Valley School District for 35 years, she was currently the English Department chairperson and was the Junior Class advisor for 25 years.
She was a member of the National Council of Teachers of English and the PA State Educators Association. Linda loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her daughter Jennifer, wife of Richard Klein of Strasburg; her son Ryan, husband of Lorrie Rubicam Moyer of Lititz; three grandchildren; and her brother John III, husband of Janet Kauffman of Richmond, IN.
