Henry Ray was born Oct. 6,1860 Northeast of Sullivan, a son of Mr.Joseph and Margaret Ray.
He was married to Susie M.Wiser,April 1, 1883. They moved to the farm on which Dr.Glenn Ray was born, near Cadwell and lived there until they moved to Sullivan in 1913, where they have made their home since.
Mr.Ray is survived by his wife and the following children: Charles and Herman Ray and Mrs.Iva Wilson of Cadwell,Mrs. Myrtle Chandler of Decatur, Guy Ray of near Shelbyville. In addition he had the following brothers,Francis of Indiana, Pearl of Decatur, Joe Bill of Ordway, Col, and Tigure Ray of Ohio. In addition a sister Mrs.Amy Gibbon lives near Lovington.
Mrs. Ray was staying with her daughter, Mrs.Iva Wilson of Cadwell during her husbands absence on the trip. Henry was killed in an auto accident with Dr.Glen Ray, his son. They were going to visit J. W.Ray, son and brother.
