My grandmother was the daughter of David N. and Harriet Pauline Pledger Brakefield. She married John Marion King 5/9/1894 Lee Co., AR and they lived in Monroe Co., AR where they raised their children until his death in 1921. He is buried in The White Church Cemetery in Monroe Co., AR.
After his death she moved to Alabama. She lived with her daughter Mary Pauline and Butch Kirkpatrick in Hueytown after their marriage.
