OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Melissa Sue Baker, 49, of Huntington, Indiana, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 9:55pm at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born March 1, 1958 in Wabash, Indiana to William and Joyce (Fisher) Bidwell.

She was a 1977 Northfield High School graduate and worked at Meridian Automotive in Huntington. Melissa was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church in Huntington.

She is survived by her three sons, Joshua (Jocelyn) Baker and Jeremy Baker, both of Wabash, and Todd Baker of Huntington; her daughter, Heather (Shaun) Mitchem of Huntington; ten grandchildren, Trinity Fletcher, Bradyn Baker, Sydney Baker, Kaylea Baker, and Tristin Hayslett, all of Wabash, Kennedy Mitchem, Shaun Mitchem, Jr., Serenidy Mitchem, Madison Baker, and Todd J. Baker, Jr., all of Huntington; two brothers, James (Debra) Bidwell of Wabash, and David Bidwell of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and her sister, Beverly Bidwell of Huntington. She was preceded in death by one son, one brother, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 2:00pm with Pastor Jimi Staton officiating. Burial will be in Lagro Cemetery, Lagro. Friends may call 2-6pm Saturday at the funeral home. Preferred memorial is New Life Fellowship Church.
