Melissa Kay Ward went to be with the Lord at the age of 32 after a courageous battle with cancer. Melissa was born on February 13, 1976, at the Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota.
Melissa is survived by her mother, Bonnie Lane; sisters, Jennifer Hearn (Toby), Angela Lane, and Rachel Lane; nephews, Brodeur and Schaefer Hearn; niece, Emersen Hearn; grandmother, Naomi Lane; and numerous family members and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Freddie Lane, and grandparents, Ernest and Mary Brodeur and Edward Lane.
Funeral service was November 20, 2008, at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, Eagan. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Eagan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairview Home Care and Hospice.
