Roy Bruce Rhodes,78 of Livingston, Texas went to the Lord on Sunday, November 9th, 2008 at 12:15 pm. He was being cared for in the home of his brother Cecil Rhodes of Magnolia, TX.
Mr. Rhodes is preceded in death by his parents, L.W. and Freda Rhodes (Corsicana, Texas) and a brother F.W. Rhodes (Conoga Park, CA).
He is survived by his children Sandra GASSETT(Bill), Sue Fowler, Roy Derrell, Brenda Morata, Shari Peace and Klye Rhodes (Maarja). He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and brothers Charles K. Rhodes (Margaret) and Cecil C. Rhodes (Alice). Mr. Rhodes was born in Van, Tx on March 8,1930 but spent most of his younger years in Mexia, Texas where he attended school. After serving in the military, he had many years of services at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Mr. Rhodes retired in 1983. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, at South Avenue Baptist Church 605 Preston Road, Pasadena Texas Interment will be in Houston National Cemetery.
