Went to be with both the Lord and his loving wife on Oct. 2, 2008. He was born on July 30, 1919 in Waxahachie, Texas to the parents of Thomas Archie and Alma Katherine Fuller Aday . On June 24, 1939 he married Frances K. Ingram. They shared 64 wonderful years together before her death in September 2003. During WWII Burton was stationed in Palermo, Sicily with the U.S. Army. He returned to Waxahachie and started his own business with his father, Archie Aday. Together, they owned and operated Archie & Burton Aday's Used & New Cars for many years. Burton was known as a hard working, honest business man who cared greatly for his family. He, for many years, was an active member of Ferris Avenue Baptist Church and was a devoted member of the men's downtown bible class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, and one brother, Charles Aday of California. He is survived by his son, Tommy Aday and his wife Estella of Conroe; one grandson, Jeff Aday and his wife Alaina of Waxahachie; and two great granddaughters, Farryn and Adalynn Aday of Waxahachie; and one sister Geraldine Jones of Fort Worth. In addition, he is survived by David Wells, Jasmine Wells, & Robert Wells. We love you "Pappa" Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3 from 6-8 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Services to celebrate his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
