Additional research submitted by Find A Grave member Sandra Lytch (#47125988):
Daniel Cotton was first married to Polly Talbot who appears to have died before the 1850 census in Nelson County. She married Daniel Aug. 3, 1808. They had what appears at least three children if you go through each census record; Ponrose (male), William, and Teresa. By the 1850 census, Daniel married Mary T. Wood Hughes. She was married before to William M. Hughes in Jefferson County. They had a son also named William; William D. Hughes. William married a Jane and they can be found with his mother Mary Cotton on the 1860 census also living near people in this cemetery. By 1880, William Hughes and Jane appear to have moved to Crittendon, KY. Polly Talbot was a daughter to William and Nancy Talbot. Her brother also married a Cotton and they had a son named John. John had a son named George who owned the well known Talbot Tavern still in existence.
