PEARL DUTCHOVER Our beloved mother, entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Kindred Hospital in San Leandro. She was the widow of the late Henry N. Dutchover. Pearl was a resident of San Leandro for the past 50 years. She was a compassionate, loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. Her life was a living testimony to her Christian values and selfless love for others. A favorite passage of hers from Isaiah, "...not by power, not by might, but by my Spirit, said the Lord..." demonstrates her gentle, quiet spirit in the Lord and reflected her intense faith which gave her all the strength she needed. Pearl is survived by her children, Henry N. Dutchover Jr., Lilly Balladone, Tonita Speegle and Joseph Dutchover and 25 grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Dutchover, in 2003. Visitation for Pearl will be on Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. The vigil will begin at 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. Pearl will be laid to rest at San Joaquin National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary 510-278-2800 www.grissomsmortuary.com.
