Henry B. Haley
Henry Bartley "Jack" Haley of Fulton died Feb. 17, at the University Medical Center in Columbia, Mo. He was born July 12, 1914 in Steelville, Mo., the son of Wilson and Minnie Haley. He was preceeded in death by a sister.
He attended Westminster College in Fulton, and graduated from Parks Air College in East St. Louis, Ill., with a degree in Flying and Business Administration. He later served as a flight instructor at Parks and also at the Institute of Aeronautics located in Alabama. He served as a flight officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945. He was an employee of Westminster College when he retired in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Fulton; a son, Charles of Raytown, Mo.; four daughters, Kathy Haley of Barstow, Calif.; Peggy Brose of Jefferson City, Mo.; Mary Haley of Columbia, Mo.; Barbara McGrath of Fulton, and seven grandchildren. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Services will be held at the Maupin Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. with burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18. The family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
