Mrs. Pansy M. Caines, 97, of Cherry Stret., Phoenix, died Friday, January 21 at the Andrew Michaud Nursing Home, Fulton, where she had been a patient for three weeks. She was born in South Onondaga and had lived in the Phoenix area most of her life. The widow of Albert Caines, she attended the Congregational Church in Phoenix. Mrs. Caines was a member of the Auxiliary of the VFW Post 5540 in Phoenix and the Phoenix Senior Citizens. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice McMahon of Baldwinsville, and Esther Cosselman of Fulton; two sons, Albert of Phoenix, and Ernest of Fulton; 5 grandchildren. Services were held at the Alanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, the Rev. Richard Scheffler officiating. Burial was in South Onondaga Cemetery.
