After close to two years of extreme loneliness following the death of Jean, his beloved wife of forty-five years, Lloyd has now joined her for an eternity.
Predeceased by wife, Jean (December 27, 2005); parents, Annie and Angus Eby; step-son, James McDermid; and brother-in-law, Milton Eby.
Lloyd married Jean on June 30, 1960 and became the stepfather of five teenage sons. He managed the poolroom in Mayerthorpe. Jean and Lloyd sold their Mayerthorpe business and moved to Edmonton and then on to Kelowna. They travelled to Germany, Atlantic Canada, back to Alberta and often to Saskatchewan visiting family and friends. For many years Lloyd and Jean made an annual trip to Reno, Nevada, for gambling entertainment. Lloyd enjoyed yard work in Kelowna. Crib and solitaire were his favorite card games. His table always had a large puzzle that he was working on. May Lloyd rest in peace.
Family Services will be held in Mayerthorpe at a later date. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Mayerthorpe Cemetery.
