DIES SATURDAY AT HER HOME IN WYNOT

Wynot - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Stappert, 80, who died at her home here August 9, after being in poor health for 10 years, were held Monday morning from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Hunkeler officiating at the solemn high mass. Burial was in the cemetery at Bow Valley under the direction of Wintz Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Ralph Noecker, Ralph Fischer, Henry Arens, James Stappert, Cyril Koch and Frank Promes.

Honorary Pallbearers were Mrs. Frances Burbach, Mrs. Peter Becker, Mrs. Tony Schulte, Mrs. Leona Dreesen, Mrs. Alphonse Kathol, and Mrs. August Noecker.

Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arens, was a lifelong resident of the Bow Valley community. She was born there November 6, 1871.

She was married to Frank H. Stappert in Bow Valley, in 1896. Mr.
Stappert died January 7, 1902. She continued to make her home on the farm near Bow Valley until a year ago when she moved to Wynot with her daughter, Miss Rose Stappert.

She was a member of SS Peter and Paul parish at Bow Valley until she moved to Wynot. She was a member of Christian Mothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Barney (Elizabeth) Fischer, Mrs. Paul (Pauline) Noecker, and Miss Rose, all of Wynot, a half- brother, Anton Arens of Hartington, a half-sister Mrs. Louise Hochstein of Newberg, Ore., eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Among relatives from away who came to attend the fuenral were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fisher and Sharon of Alma and Mrs. Louis Arens and son Ralph of Hartington.
