Mrs. Augusta Kleid, a resident of San Antonio for more than half a century, died at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at her home, 213 Devine street, after an extended illness. Born in San Antonio, 58 years ago, Mrs. Kleid resided in this city continuously until her death, having witnessed the growth of San Antonio from a village to its present greatness. She was the widow of the late Peter Kleid, and is survived by six sons, Peter, William, Eddie, Gustav, Albert and George Kleid; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Kirchens, Misses Lydia and Amanda Kleid, and three grandchildren, Emma, Joseph and Carl Kirchens, all of this city. Four brothers also survive, Fred Neumann of Los Angels, Cal., Edward Neumann of Arizona and William and Gustav Neumann of this city. Mrs. Kleid was a member of Germania lodge, Knights and Ladies of Honor, and of the Ladies Aid society of St. John's Lutheran church. The funeral will be held at 5 o'clock this afternoon from the home, Rev. O. Hartmann of St. John's Lutheran church, officiating. Interment will be in the old Lutheran cemetery. The pallbearers will be John H. Bolton, C. A. Denny, Henry Moegelin, August Rehberg, Charles Koch and Henry Reis.
