Pioneer Dies in Sheridan
Aaron M. Darlington, 89, a rancher near Big Horn 58 Years, died this morning in a Sheridan hospital after an illness of six days.
Darlington, was born Oct. 14, 1859, in Canon City, Colo., and moved to Big Horn in 1891. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges of Big Horn.
He was unmarried and the only near survivors are three nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services will be held in Champion's drawing room Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Donald G. Smith officiating. Burial will in the Big Horn Cemetery.

He arrived in Big Horn, WY in 1882 with his parents. In 1885, the Darlington boys and Charles Lewis opened a coal mine on Tongue River according to the Big Horn Sentinel. He was unmarried and lived on the family homestead with his mother. The ranch was sold to Edward S. Moore in 1928.
