Sylvia Ann Davidson, 95, passed away January 27, 2018. She was born on August 21, 1922 in Labette County, Kansas.

She married Elbert Orley Davidson on July 9, 1940 and they were married for 55 years. He preceded her in death in 1996. Sylvia resided in the Choctaw area for 70 years. She retired from Tinker after 25 years of service. Sylvia was also preceded in death by her parents Jim Milton and Lydia Elizabeth Wilson, siblings Glenn, Vi, Darrell, James, Gladys, Lydia, and Paul; son-in-law Ben Sloan and grandchild Deric Smith.

She is survived by 5 children, Beverly Jennings of Slidell, Louisiana and Harry Cannon; Ron Davidson of Red Oak, Texas and spouse Janice; Barbara Shaw of Choctaw, Oklahoma and spouse Terry; Bonita Birdsong of Choctaw and spouse Mike; Tony Davidson of Choctaw and spouse Patti.

She is survived by 15 grandchildren. Tammy Pizzolato of Slidell, Louisiana; Dane Lemons of Eufaula, Oklahoma; Lesa Lemons of Tucson, Arizona; Sandy Davidson of Red Oak, Texas; Ronda Taylor of Red Oak, Texas; Rod Sloan of Choctaw, Oklahoma and spouse Melissa; Brock Sloan of Chandler, Arizona and spouse Tiffany; Brian Shaw of Dana Point, California and spouse Shannon; Brandon Shaw of San Francisco, California; Billy Shaw of Owasso, Oklahoma and spouse Dawn; Trent Smith of Choctaw and spouse Kari; Durk Smith of Choctaw and spouse Erin; Jason Birdsong of Claremore, Oklahoma and spouse Erin; Kylie Martin of Choctaw and spouse Luke; and Brooke Ouzts of Choctaw and spouse Cory.

She is survived by 22 great-grandchildren. Brandt Taylor of Austin, Texas and Avery Taylor of Red Oak, Texas; Cole and Kaylee Sloan of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Baylee and Sierra Sloan of Chandler, Arizona; Tiffany Shaw of Dana Point, California; Jacob and Lilly Shaw of Owasso, Oklahoma; Carson, Marley, Lydia Smith of Choctaw; Erica and Taylor Woods of Choctaw; Louden and Cru Smith of Choctaw; and D.J. Birdsong of Claremore, Oklahoma; Gamble, Oxley, and Grady Martin of Choctaw; and Owen and Henly Ouzts of Choctaw.

A funeral service will be held at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home at 10 am Wednesday January 31st. Burial will follow the funeral at Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
