She was born on April 10, 1863 at Shelby, Iowa and married Lewis J. Waldo on Sept. 26, 1881. They farmed in the Aberdeen area until 1936, then came to Rapid City. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nora Leigh of Wilmington, Calif., and Mrs. Arthur Stevens of Tacoma Park, Md.; three sons, Clarence Waldo of Nampa, Ida., Marion of Rapid City and Ray of Hermosa; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank West of Stanberry, Mo., and two brothers, William Ballard, Stanberry, Mo., and Etna Ballard of Sioux City, Iowa.
