Marshall Eugene Wineland died on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Center at Virtua in Mount Holly. He was 79.
Born in Duncansville, PA; Mr. Wineland was a retired Master Sergeant in the US Air Force. He served during both Korea and Vietnam. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at the Fountain Green golf course. He was also an avid sports fan.
MSGT Wineland is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay; two daughters: Marsha Kay (Bud) Whitworth of Riverside; Anita Lou (Dave) Cooper of Porter, TX; a son Bruce Martin Wineland of Bensalem, PA; four grandchildren: David (Andrea), Heather (Chris), Michael, and Jessica; four great-grandchildren: Russell, Kyle, Ashley, and Madison. Mr. Wineland was one of twelve siblings and he is survived by two sisters: Vera Stalter of Como, NC & Dolores Baker of Duncansville, PA; and one brother Dean Wineland of Duncansville, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Covenant Baptist Church, 528 Main St., Lumberton. Interment in BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private.
