John Luallen, aged 92, and resident of Jasper for 54 years, died Saturday at the Boone County Hospital in Harrison. He had been ill for some time. He was born February 29, 1861, at Laffollette, Tenn., a son of John and Harriet Burse Luallen. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jane Luallen; five daughters, Mrs. Grace Neighbors of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Nettie Ricketts of Tulsa Okla., Mrs. G. B. Young of Everton, Mrs. Mary Luallen of Harrison, , Mrs. Mayme Chapman of Lafollette, Tenn.; five sons, Austin Luallen of Durham, Calif., Clayton Luallen of Elmonte, Calif., Clarence and Jack Luallen of Kansas City, Mo., Hubert Luallen of Lafollette, Tenn. one sister, Mrs. Rusha Davenport of Lafollette, Tenn.; 50 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. W.C. Land at the Jasper Assembly of God Church with burial in the Jasper cemetary."
