Lewis, Bryan Wayne
Bryan Wayne Lewis, also known as "Shag," of Muskogee, Okla., was born Dec. 19, 1965, in Dallas to Rita Laverne Ranney and Bryan Ross Lewis. He passed from this life Nov. 19, 2008, in Okay, Okla., at the age of 42. Bryan Wayne spent most of his childhood in the Rowlett, Garland, and Rockwall areas. At about the age of 15, he moved to Oklahoma where he graduated from Okay High School. He lived most of his life in the Okay and Muskogee, Okla., areas where he was a construction worker and a sewing machine technician. Bryan Wayne loved to draw and create works of art. He also enjoyed working on Harleys and putting together car and motorcycle models. He liked to have fun and especially loved spending time with family and friends. Bryan Wayne gave his life to the Lord in recent years and was baptized in Oklahoma in 2007. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother of Celeste; his son, Chase Wayne Lewis of the home in Muskogee, Okla.; his daughter, Charity Jewel "CJ" Lewis of Alba; his sister, Laverne "Jean" Douglas and husband Tiger of Okay, Okla.; niece Jody Fulton and husband Randy of Okay, Okla.; his great-niece, Zoey Fulton of Okay, Okla.; and a special godmother, Kathey Walker of Wilson, Okla.A celebration of Bryan Wayne's life is scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lone Oak Baptist Church in Lone Oak, with burial to follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bartley Funeral Home in Lone Oak.
