News reached the city yesterday of the death at West Farm, Fla., of Mr. Thomas R. Bethune, formerly of this state. He died on the morning of the 22d. and leaves a widow and two children. The deceased was a brother of Mr. D. M. Bethune of Bethune, one of the new stations on the Seaboard Air Line, in Kershaw county, who is well known in Columbia, having served several terms in the legislature from Kershaw county.
