Husband of Mattie Lee Hickman

Rev. Hardy Beaubouef, 92 of the Magnolia community, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on February 10, 1921 in Vick, LA in Avoyelles Parish to the union of William "Bill" Beaubouef and Regina Cole Beaubouef.
Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Deville, or more specifically, the Wiley Point Community, which is located about six miles from the Avoyelles Parish line.
He went to school at the Wiley Point School, which was a small three room school that only went to the seventh grade.
He grew up attending the Big Island Baptist Church and was saved when he was 12 years old. He would tell "I've served Jesus for most of my life so that is really all I know to talk about."
He married Mattie Lee "Bobbie" Hickman in 1941, his faithful companion and help mate. During the next many years they would raise 11 children together. In June of 1991, just three months short of celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary, God called his wife home.
In August of 1992, God not yet being finished with him saw fit to give him Mrs. Della, another wife and faithful companion to share in his ministry.
He accepted Gods' call to preach the Gospel of Jesus on Labor Day night 1951. During the next fifty plus years, he pastored 17 churches and preached hundreds of revivals. One of his last special ministries was preaching at the LaSalle Nursing Home every Friday morning for a couple of years. Only God knows how many people have been saved under his ministry and how many lives have been changed as a result of his faithfulness to his Lord.
He loved his life, his family and friends, but most of all he loves his God!
