Ken passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 in Payson, Utah at the age of 44.

He was born March 19, 1964 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Garry and Elmonda Carlson. He was the oldest of seven children and was raised in Montana and Utah. He loved his children, Kendra and Kevin, his son-in-law, Jeff, and his grandsons, Payton and Izaac. His eyes always lit up when he talked about his children and their accomplishments.

He was an outdoorsman. He loved to hike, camp, fish, hunt or anything that involved being in the mountains. He was always searching for lost treasure. He was known as "Uncle Tigger" and would often say, "Whoo, hoo, I'm a bouncy, bouncy goo" just as Tigger would and make the children laugh or feel more at ease. He could often be found at the fish pond in American Fork helping to teach special needs children to learn to fish. He was always willing to spend time with the little kids and enjoyed taking walks, and exploring nature with them. He was an advocate of reading and always encouraged his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to develop a love for reading. It wasn't uncommon for him to give the kids books and take them on field trips to the library. He attended Hillcrest High School. Ken was encouraged by his Mom to continue his education and achieved his goal when he received his Associate of Science degree from Salt Lake Community College. He continued to work hard and became a journeyman Electrician. He worked on many commercial construction projects.

He is preceded in death by his Mom; sister, Denise; and his grandparents. He is survived by daughter, Kendra Elliott (Jeff), and grandsons Payton, Izaac, Idaho Falls, ID; and son, Kevin,Midvale UT; Dad, Garry, Midvale, UT; siblings, Debra Jordan (Mark), Kaysville, UT; Duane (Naomi), Midvale, UT; Dianne , Missoula, MT; Darrell, Midvale UT; and Garry (Mindy), Bountiful, UT; and many nieces and nephews.
