Funeral Services For Grant Allison Set For Tuesday

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, at St John's Lutheran Church at 2 pm for Grant Raymond Allison, rural Waukon, who died as a result of an automobile accident Saturday May 11.
He was born August 28, 1919, in Union Prairie township, a son of John and Olga Ask Allison. With the exception of two pre-war years he lived all of his life in Allamakee county in Ludlow township. He was employed as a plumber. He never married.
His mother survives, as do a brother, James, Waukon, and a sister, Mrs Leonard (Anna) Ask, Decorah. He was educated in local schools and attended a special metal workers school in Des Moines. A member of the Waukon volunteer fire company and the VFW, he served two years with the Navy in WW II.
Burial will be in East Glenwood cemetery with the Rev David R Vaaler conducting the funeral services. Pallbearers are Bob Collins, Mayhew Eaton, Dale Goltz, Dean Decker, Donald Ryder and Mike Barthell.
