Daughter of Hiram Gaines and Susan 'Jane' (Mouser) Gaines.

Rozina Sturgeon, 103, of Zalma, died May 20, 1993 at Advance Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 2, 1890 at Zalma, MO; daughter of Hiram and Jane (Mouser) Gaines.
She and Gilbert Henry Sturgeon were married Sept. 1, 1907. He died Dec. 18, 1992.
She was the last surviving charter member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at Gipsy.
Survivors include two sons, Milford Sturgeon and Raymond Sturgeon of Zalma, MO; three daughters, Marie Snider of Edwardsville, IL; Mildred Abernathy of Zalma, MO; Reeda Durham of Dexter, MO; one sister, Delphia Myers Baker of Marble Hill, MO; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Three sons, three brothers, and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Services will be Saturday at Liley Funeral Home with burial in Union Hill Cemetery at Zalma.
