The wake for Sr. Mary Trinita will be held in Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m. Burial will be on Saturday, Nov. 15, in Holy Family Cemetery, Convent Station, at 9 a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dangler Funeral Home, Summit.
Born in Newark, the daughter of William and Anna (Reilly) Reilly, Sr. Mary Trinita entered the Sisters of Charity on Sept. 8, 1937, and was a member for 71 years.
She was engaged in education in New Jersey. She served as a teacher at Our Lady of All Souls, East Orange, from 1938 to 1950, and St. Patrick School, Jersey City, from 1950 to 1954. She then served at St. Joseph Hospital, Paterson, in various clerical and managerial positions from 1954 to 2007. She retired in 1996 but continued to volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital until 2007, when she moved to St. Anne Villa, Convent Station, where she resided until her death.
Sr. Mary Trinita is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Reilly of East Hanover; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
