Charles E. "Butch" Steiger, 63, of 45 South Reese, foreman at Klinke Brothers Ice Cream, Co., died Thursday at Methodist Hospital South after an apparent heart attack. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home Guardian Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. He was a Church of Christ member, a World War II Navy veteran, and an outstanding fullback at Humes High School before graduating in 1943. Steiger leaves two sons, James E. Steiger and Kenneth Charles Steiger, and his father, Louis T. Steiger, all of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Louise Spinosa of Louisville, Ky., and four granddaughters.
