Carna L Watkins, 100, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Ratliff Care Center. Her parents were King and Ella Gaines of Zalma, Missouri.
Carna and Verle Watkins were married November 19th, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Carna and Verle owned and operated Cape Furniture Manufacturing for 28 years. She and Verle also did upholstery work for St. Francis Medical Center as recently as December 8. 2009.
She had been a member of General Baptist Church and later joined Cape First Church.
Survivors include two sons, John (and Carolyn) Watkins of Sedgewickville, MO; Rick (and Jennifer) Watkins of Crossville, TN; daughter-in-Law, Sherry Watkins of South Haven, MS; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home Mt. Auburn.
Funeral service will be Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home Mt. Auburn with Pastor Carol Heitman-Lucy officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Zalma, MO.
