Final Rites Held For Archie Cooley
The funeral was held for Archie Alton Cooley, 61, at the Lighthouse First Pentecostal Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31 with the Rev. Paul Hooks officiating assisted by the Rev. Michael Hooks.
Interment was in the Magnolia Cemetery with George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Cooley was dead on arrival, Saturday, Aug. 28, at the George County Hospital of an apparent heart attack. He was a retired welder at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula and a member of the Lighthouse First Pentecostal Church.
He was born in Greene County and resided at Route 1, Lucedale.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise Parnell Cooley, Lucedale; three daughters, Mrs. Nelta Woodard, Lucedale; Mrs. Alviedean Seals, Lake Beach, Fla.; and Mrs. Maurica Moody, Lucedale; three sons, Archie Wayne, H.L. and Timothy, all of Lucedale; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Parnell and Mrs. Verba Ray McLeod, both of Lucedale and three grandchildren.
