The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Charleston, SC, Friday afternoon, July 17, 2009, at Two o'clock. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, this Thursday evening, from five until seven o'clock.
David was born in Charleston, South Carolina, on June 9, 1951, the son of Bertie O. Coker and Ether Barfield Coker. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Bertie Coker. Mr. Coker is survived by his very dear friend and caregiver, Patsy Cole of Folly Beach, SC; a daughter, April; sisters, Diane Cox and her husband Jimmy of Summerville, SC, Mary Kleine of Kingsland, GA, and Maeva Whiteman and her husband, Jim of West Ashley, SC; brothers, Harvey Coker and his wife Erma Lee of Johns Island, SC, Larry Coker and his wife Jeanette of North Charleston, SC, and R.B. Winston Coker of Phoenix, AL.
