Loveda "Love" McCrary Hamilton was born May 5, 1898 in Henderson County. She was 105 years and nine months old. She was the youngest of seven children born to Daniel A. and Loucinda Morris McCrary. She was the wife of Neal Hamilton , who died in 1978. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Juanita Webster and son, Coman Hamilton . She was a member of Little River Baptist Church where she served as a teacher, choir member, church circle member, and visitor to shut-ins. Love loved God and people. Her door was always open to family and friends.

Love Hamilton was one of the founders of Little River Community Club and was active in the Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of Abraham Kuykendall Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution and a descendant of Abraham Kuykendall.

She is survived by a daughter, Marylou Rhodes and her husband, Ray Rhodes and her grandchildren, Stephanie Webster Case, Carroll Webster Crowell, Daniel Webster, Glenn Hamilton , Marsha Rhodes Bentley, and Suzanne Rhodes Draayer. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Also, she is survived by numerous caring members of the Brian Center staff.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at Crab Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Marsha Rhodes Bentley and Dr. Mark Ralls officiating. The family will receive friends at Moore Funeral Home in Brevard.

Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
