Ephraim Hicks "Red" Rogers was born in Bledsoe Co., TN. He was the son of Jefferson C. and Nancy Adaline Carder Rogers. He came to Texas in 1895 and was a Church of Christ evangelist in Grayson County until his death in Sherman, Texas, in 1922. He and his wife had two children, Jefferson Davis Rogers and Bess Susan Rogers Durrett.
