J.A. Hambrick, 86, of Muskogee was born December 6, 1918 in Princeton, Alabama the son of Morgan and Sarah (Jacks) Hambrick and passed away December 17, 2004 in Muskogee. Mr. Hambrick joined the Army Air Corp. during W.W. ll where he served in India and Burma and was the recipient of four Bronze Stars. Following the war, J.A. went to work for Basolo Auto Parts in 1949 and was employed with them for over 30 years at the time of his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Mr. Hambrick is survived by his two sons; Ron G. Hambrick and his wife Bettina of Muskogee, Jim K. Hambrick and his wife Sheila of Muskogee, one daughter; Debbie Edwards of Fort Gibson, four grandchildren; Troy Lee Hambrick of Lakeland, Fl, Alan Hambrick of Muskogee, Justin D. Edwards of Oklahoma City, and Graham Edwards of Norman, and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters, his wife; Wanda F. Virden Hambrick, and one grandson; James K. Hambrick. Funeral services for Mr. Hambrick will be 12:00 p.m., Monday December 20, 2004 at the Bradley Memorial Chapel in Fort Gibson with Chaplain Phil Pack officiating. Burial will follow at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Ft. Gibson with the arrangements.
