A celebration of life for Susan K. Blake will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church in Byron, with the Rev. David Rossow officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

Mrs. Blake, 46, of Byron, died Monday at her home.

Susan Kay Huebner was born Jan. 15, 1962, in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from Denver (Iowa) High School in 1980, and attended Allen Memorial Hospital X-Ray School in Waterloo. She graduated as a radiologic technician on Aug. 25, 1982, and moved to Rochester in October 1983 to work as an X-ray technician at Mayo Clinic. She later moved to the Computed Tomography (CT) Scan Department, from which she retired after 25 years because of her health.

On May 2, 1987, she married Jami J. Blake in Rochester. Mrs. Blake was a member of the American Society of Radiological Technologists and Christ Lutheran Church of Byron. She loved doing outdoor activities, spending time at the cabin on Lake Francis near Elysian, Minn., and spending time with her close friends and family.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Megan Blake of Byron; two sons, Aaron and Adam, both of Byron; her mother, Mary Huebner of Byron; and three brothers, William "Bill" (Teri) Huebner of Rosemount, Minn., Jeffrey (Jenny) Huebner of Red Wing and David Huebner of Byron. Other survivors include a special niece and nephew, Kayla and Ben Huebner. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Huebner; and several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church, and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.

Memorials are requested to the family in order to set up a scholarship fund in Susan's name.
