Marian Lois Reineman Gausemel is finally at peace. She had the compassionate care of Nancy Hinds Hospice for six weeks. Her soul left her body while she was listening to her own cd titled "Count Your Blessings." Marian struggled for three years against her symptoms of Wegners disease.

Marian was born in Hollywood, California.

She attended Glendale High School and graduated in 1948.

Marian married Kenneth Gausemel in 1949. They resided in Encino, California, until he drew a farm to homestead just outside of Rupert, Idaho. They farmed potatoes and wheat from 1955 to 1963, until Kenneth's asthma forced their return to California. They bought a home in Yucaipa and raised three children.

Marian worked for the San Bernardino County Welfare department until she retired in 1991.

Marian never fully recovered from the death of her youngest son, Glenn Gene Gausemel, who died in a motorcycle accident in 1996.

Marian sang for weddings and in church choirs. Marian heard these words as she took her last breath..."That was your gift in this life, your beautiful voice."

Her son, Scott Alexander and his wife Kathryn Barile, and their daughters Tara and Katja survive her. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bill Dryden. Missing their grandmother already are her grandchildren Ian Dryden, Leithan Dryden and Nick Gausemel.

Marian is also survived by her beloved brother and sister in law Duane and Jessie Reineman of Cherry Valley, Ca.

As per her wishes, no service will be held. Marian's ashes will be scattered at sea.

Donations may be made to Nancy Hinds Hospice or Paralyzed Veterans of America in her name.
