Janna Koop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Koop, was born February 16, 1872, in Black Hawk County, Iowa, and died at her home Thursday, July 11, 1946, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 25 days. She moved with her parents to Hamilton County in 1874. She attended the public school near her home and grew to young womanhood in this community. In the year 1893, on March 7, she was married to S. T. Greenfield at Kamrar, Iowa. To this union, seven children were born. Those surviving are four sons, James, William, Arent [Arend], and John, all of Kamrar, and two daughters, Mrs. Lena Huisman of Titonka, and Mrs. Harmka Arends of Jewell. Her husband and two sisters, Mrs. Cordes and Mrs. Geo. Smid of Kamrar also survive, besides many grandchildren and other relatives. One child died in infancy.
Mrs. Greenfield had been a member of the Presbyterian Church east of Kamrar since 1893 and was a faithful worker in her church.
Funeral services were held Monday, at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian Church with Rev. H. F. Sinning in charge. Interment was made in the Presbyterian Church cemetery. Pall bearers were Oscar Langeland, Kamrar, Joe Trampel, Kamrar, Abel Middents, Kamrar, Geo. Huisman, Kamrar, and C. A. Furman and Harm Denekas of Jewell.
