Lum was a son of Wesley O. Walker and Harriet E. Conkin.

He married Betty Bryant in 1882/83 in Kentucky.

They had 13 children, of which 12 were alive in 1910:

Jonas Jefferson "Jeff" (1883 KY)
Walter Wesley (1885 KY)
Jess Russell (1886 KY)
James Houston (1889 KY)
Harriet H. (1891 KY)
Lora (1893 KY)
William Tecumseh (1895 KY)
Nola (1896 KY)
John Patterson (1898 MO)
Rosa Lee (1900 KY)
Lacy/Lacey Frank (1902 MO)
Lela (1905 MO)
Alwyn C. (1909 MO)

Whoever provided Lum and Betty's gravestone appears to have had some uncertainty about the date of birth. Rather than use June 1860 from the 1800 census, they used about 1861 from the 1910. Elsewhere it is given as 12 Jan 1863. Unfortunately, we are in no position to make a judgment, so we used 1861 from the gravestone.
