Ron Blackston Was a young soldier I wrote to when he went to Vietnam. He was from Muncie Indiana. We was penpals. I had wrote him a letter back, the week he was killed in action. He also had a half brother that was serving there also. He was also killed in action.

But always have thought about this young man. My mother knew his mother, and worked together. You have always been very missed and loved. Rest in peace Ronnie. Glad we had a chance to get to know each other a little.

Surviving are his mother and step father, Mr. Mrs George Herron, His father and step mother, Mr mrs Donald Blacksten, A step sister Virginia Southard all of Muncie. A step Brother Rick Headley, US Marines Japan, and the Grand Parents, Mr. and Mrs Joe Davis, Muncie and mr. mrs Wayne Blacksten of Wilmington, N.C. Meeks Mortuary will announce the arrangements later.
