The former Miss Fannie Alford, she was a native of Crockett and married her husband, J. A. Vaden, January 3, 1907, there. They later moved to Coryell County, where Mr. Vaden was a farmer.
They returned to Crockett in 1933 and lived there until 1962, when they moved to Moody. Mrs. Vaden was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bernice McConnell of Crockett and Mrs. Edith Brown of Moody; seven sons, J. W. Vaden of Jonesboro, Max Vaden of Gatesville, W. F. Vaden and Willard Vaden, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Leroy Vaden of Crockett, Tommie Vaden of Moody and Herman Vaden of Riverside, Calif.; 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
