Raymond A. Croy, 88, of 136 S. Sherman St., Ottawa, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hometown Nursing Home, Ottawa.
He was born Sept. 21, 1896 in Van Buren Township, Putnam County to Sanford and Sarah (Williams) Croy. He married Louise Hornung on May 25, 1921 and she died Dec. 9, 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Richard and Kenneth, both of Ottawa; three daughters, Mrs. William (Alice) Laibe, Ottawa; Mrs. James (Rita) Martin of McComb, Mrs. Mary Lou Johnson of Whitehouse; 34 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; a brother, Paul of Ottawa, and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Davison, Crown Point, IN and Mrs. Inez Weis of Toledo.
Mr. Croy was a pipefitter for Buckeye Sugar Mills Company, Ottawa. He was a member of Ottawa Eagles and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.
A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church, the Rev. Paul Wohlwend officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 7p.m. today and all day Sunday at McCrate-Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where an Eagles Service will be held at 8 p.m. and a scripture service will held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
