Helen (Crosier - Paxton) Carter was born in Bennington, Vermont 18 Feb 1859, moving to Nebraska as a young woman. She married Nelson William Paxton in St. Paul, Nebraska in 1881, they having six children, five of whom survived her (all out of state). In 1903 the Paxtons moved to
Washington where Mr. Paxton died in 1925. Helen married Ira B. Carter 14 Feb 1932 at Salem (his obit says 04 Feb 1933). [SML 20 Mar 1941]
