LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 25 Dec 1986:

C. W. Bolin Jr. 845 Graham St., died Wednesday, 17 Dec, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bonham. Memorial services were conducted Sunday, 21 Dec, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill O'Neal officiated.

Mr. Bolin was born 3 Jun 1907 in Bell County, a son of C. W. Bolin Sr and Maudie Pearl Elkins Bolin. He married Lois [Lee] Willingham on 24 Apr 1947, in Corpus Christi. He was a Baptist minister before retiring in 1973. He served in Italy with the Army during World War II.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Delbert Ann Ellis of Dallas,; one stepson, Norman O. Lynch of Bryan; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hardy Bolin.

Tombstone is inscribed, 'Sgt. US Army WW II.'
