He was born Birdlee Kent and changed his name to Ben Irvin Kent.He was the son of John Allison Kent and Mary Louisa "Lula" Dawkins. He owned a sawmill in Sturgis, Ms. He married Beatrice Christine Ford 9/23/1923.He was a very respected and honest man.
