Delphia "Deb" Olgibee Brown, 78, of Springville, California, formerly of Mechanicsville, died Monday, January 3, 2000, in Sierra View Hospital, Porterville, California, following a brief illness. Memorial services: 7 p.m. Thursday, Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choice's Mechanicsville Chapel, by the Rev. Anita Johnston. Burial: Red Oak Cemetery, Stanwood. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanie Brown of Mount Vernon; a son, Francis of Springville; two brothers, Clarence Olgibee of Turlock, California, and Orville of Duncan, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Maragaret Prigmore and Lily Morris, both of Anderson, California.
Also surviving are a grandson and three great-grandchildren.
Deb was born January 4, 1921, in Erick, Oklahoma; the daughter of Charles and Mary Frances Jones Olgibee. She married Francis Brown on April 30, 1944, in Long Beach, California. He died in 1989. They farmed in Mechanicsville, before moving to California in 1989. She was a past member of the Stanwood Union Church.
