Beatrice Kay "Jody" Morrow, age 63, of Pinckneyville, IL departed this life surrounded by her loving children, family and friends on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 3:40 p.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, IL.
Jody was born on June 1, 1945 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Jewel E. (Jones) Lipe, and the beloved granddaughter of the late Blanche E. Jones and Herb Jones of Pinckneyville, IL. She attended Pinckneyville Community High School, Pinckneyville, IL. In 1963, she married Richard W. Morrow and together they had two children, Tina R. Morrow of Marion, IL, and Curtis W. Morrow of Pinckneyville, IL. Jody was a cashier for many years at Save-A-Lot, Pinckneyville, IL where she shared her smile and laughter with every customer she served. She enjoyed baseball and football, and loved her children and grandchildren, and touched many people that she met through her work, as well as her family and friends. She is now with her Lord and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include her children: Curtis and Tina, two daughters-in-law: Laura Morrow of Pinckneyville, IL, and Pattie Morrow of Marion, IL, four granddaughters: Brittny Morrow, Baleigh Morrow, Brooklyn Morrow, and Kaybree Morrow, and a brother: Terry D. Jones and wife Natalie of Pinckneyville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, November 14, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be no visitation on Saturday.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
