Daughter of Luther Henderson "Duke" Houston & Della L. Green Houston Schostag. A beloved housewife, mother & grandmother, she was married a total of six times. Married lastly to Fred Ralph Kaufman by proxy marriage on 15 July 1965 (Fred was serving overseas in the US Army in Korea at the time). She moved many times during her life & spent the last years of her life as she did her first years living on a farm. She loved being a homebody, cooking & canning, her soaps & game shows along with enjoying her two grandchildren whom she kept during school holidays. A heavy smoker for most of her life, she successfully quit two years before her death of lung cancer at age 67.
